A Little Scare

Pregnancy is proving itself to be a little stressful for me! The nausea hasn't let up which all alone is hard, but on Sunday I woke up bleeding and instantly thought the worse. Sunday afternoon I took Scott to the airport where he flew out to Chicago for the week (crapy timing) and this morning I had an emergency ultra sound at the hospital. The good news is that the baby is soooooooo cute! He/she was moving around and I saw it's little fingers and facial features. It's heart was pounding at a healthy rate and I left feeling a lot better. I am still scared, but hoping for the best. My Dr. gets the notes from the hospital tomorrow and hopefully they reveal why I am bleeding. The ultra sound tech wouldn't give me any information, except that my due date is earlier then I thought. I might be 13 weeks instead of 12.
Thankfully the baby is alive and no longer snail looking;)

I glad you hear that everything is ok with the baby! Spotting is common though in pregnancy. I hated the 1st trimester though cuz I was a worry wart, but once you start feeling the babies kicks and punches (mine started around 15 weeks), my mind was rested and didn't worry as much.

Rach, the same thing happened to my sister. She was at my house and bled A TON. We were so worried, but it turns out that her placenta tore just a little. It was totally fine, but she had to take it really easy for a few weeks until it healed. They said she might spot throughout her pregnancy, but she has a beautiful healthy baby girl who just turned three months old! :) I think it'll be okay, but that is so stressful. Sorry you had to have such a scare, but I'm glad to know your little one is safe and well.
