Last Thursday night Brent, Bob, Jord, Ammon, Scott and I packed up and headed to Southern Utah. On Friday we hiked Baptist Gulch in the San Rafael Swell and Saturday we hiked Leprechaun Canyon by Lake Powell. Baptist Gulch was long and majestic with a few big repels and Leprechaun had two repels, was shorter, really narrow, and with a lot of 10-15 ft drops. Leprechaun was more my style of a slot canyon. While we were hiking out of Leprechaun we were able to see some of the filming of the new show coming out about Aaron Rawlston (the guy who cut off his arm in a slot canyon). It was pretty interesting to talk to the Stunt Coordinator and some of the crew. The movie comes out this September and is directed by the guy who did Slum Dog Millionaire.

What a fun trip- how did you survive with all those boys?? We hiked Blue John the slot canyon that Aaron Rawlston cut his arm off in- we saw the site and everything. I didn't know they were making a movie out of it. Slot Canyon hiking is fun.
